Playtime

Playtimes are an important part of the development of pupils at Muntham House School.  Pupils can choose from the Football Pitch, Giant Swing, Willow Den or Look out Fort to play on with their friends.  Staff will work closely with pupils to ensure that pupils are engaging and playing together happily.  There is lots of opportunity for creative and imaginative play which supports healthy child development increasing pupils self confidence and self esteem.  We encourage everyone to play outside as boys flourish in the outside environment.

In the Infants area there is a purpose built race track with lots of space for the pupils to enjoy using Bikes, Trikes and Scooters to ride around together developing their co-ordination and learning new skills. Playtime is a great opportunity for staff to work with pupils focusing on improving their language skills and developing their social, emotional and communication skills.  Staff support pupils structuring conversations and supporting friendships between teaching pupils how to interact together.

When, either by choice or persuaded by the weather, the boys have their free time indoors they are able to make use of the wide range of board games, books, craft activities, iPad applications, OSMOs and film time within their classes.

Rain or shine Primary is definitely the place to be at playtime!
